In the forestry enterprises of the association, within the framework of the National Conformity Assessment System of the Republic of Belarus, certification of forest management and forest management systems, certification of forest products on the basis of origin is carried out.
The system of forest certification of Belarus in 2017 was re-recognized and approved by the Council of the PEFC (Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) − an international organization for the recognition of national forest certification systems and schemes as meeting the requirements of the PEFC.
During the certification of the forest management and forest management system, the compliance of the forest management and forest management system with regulatory legal acts and technical regulatory legal acts establishing requirements for the management of forests and forest resources and the extraction of useful properties of forests for specific purposes is documented.
When carrying out certification of forest products and products of their processing on the basis of origin, its origin from forests certified in accordance with the requirements of the National Conformity Assessment System of the Republic of Belarus, the requirements of the PEFC Council and the fact that during the manufacturing process, accounting and registration of all changes in the condition of forest products in the process of passing from the forest to the consumer is documented, ensuring transition from information about the origin of the raw materials purchased by the organization to information about the origin of products, produced using it.
According to the results of the certification of forest management and forest use systems, certification of forest products on the basis of origin, certificates of conformity with the status of international are issued.
All forestry enterprises of the region have certificates of conformity for the forest management and forest management system according to the international PEFC system.
